Since taking on the role in 2017, I’ve helped the organization grow significantly, increasing revenue, building a more sustainable funding model, and developing a strong team of staff and volunteers who are doing genuinely meaningful work.

I’ve had the opportunity to bring that work to broader audiences: as a witness before Canada’s Special Senate Committee on the Charitable Sector, at the 2021 World Circular Economy Forum, and at various other conferences on digital inclusion and community technology. I also serve on the boards of the Revue Film Society and TorontoRPG, and run digital skills workshops through the Toronto District School Board.

Before Free Geek Toronto, I worked in adult education and digital storytelling, helping people use technology to tell their own stories and access resources in their communities.
