I lived most of my life in and around Toronto, Ontario, barring a couple of years living in Canadian cities that start with “W”.
While I enjoy doing things outdoors, I’m not always up for “the outdoors”. I’m working on this by volunteering as event coordinator for an outdoor activity club, running hikes and urban exploration trips.
For brief time, I ran my own computer repair business. Helped a lot of people but didn’t really make any money.
I love the arts, working on creative endeavours for over 15 years, but have to work on actually being creative.
Currently I’m the Executive Director of Free Geek Toronto, a social enterprise that helps bridge the digital divide by ethically recycling and refurbishing old electronics and computer technology using Free and Open Source Software. I have worked in the not-for-profit sector for the past eight years, and have previously worked a library services consultant specializing in social justice literature, adult education instructor, A/V technician, and program coordinator for a digital storytelling initiative.
